Hal Strauss Winning on the Cole Bros Maico (1976)

Cole Bros. was a Suzuki-Maico dealership in North Hollywood and they sponsored a lot of motocross racers back in the 1970s. Here’s Hal Strauss on a Cole Bros. backed Maico, on his way to winning the 250 Pro class in an AME Summer Series race at Indian Dunes in July of 1976. I don’t know for sure, but I would bet Hal won the series that summer. He won a lot of motos in AME that year and when he wasn’t winning he was right there in second or third. (Cycle News photo)
