Mark Banks leads Russ Wageman during a Golden State National at Sunrise Cycle Park in Adelanto, California, in January of 1986. Banks, who would go on and win the British 125cc Motocross National Championship in 1988 and was a podium-earning GP rider of the era. Mark had a strong outing in this event going 2-2 to finish second overall in the 500cc class to Phil Larson. Wageman finished fifth (3-8).
