A great shot of the Lightweight Expert grid at the AMA Road Race National at Road America in 1980. It was the first year of pro motorcycle racing at Road America. On the front row I think that’s Boonie Knott on the left. Then Eddie Lawson and Rusty Sharp are talking in the middle of the front row and Dan Chivington is kneeling down on the side of his bike No. 46. That’s Doug Brauneck (No. 246), Marty Morrison (No. 156), John Samways (No. 65). I also see Gerold Smith (No. 211), Andrea Weck (No. 42) and many others. If you can ID anyone, please leave a message.
