Rare shot of Mike Brown (No. 54) racing a Peak Honda outdoors. Mike had a deal with Mitch Payton’s team, but it was for Supercross-only and would only extend to the outdoor nationals if he did well. It was early on for Mike, and he hadn’t learned the ropes in Supercross (although he did get a 2nd in the 125 East class at Pontiac) and ended up losing the ride after the SX season. This shot was from a local Tennessee race at Hidden Acres in Kingsport in early April, probably on an off weekend from Supercross. (Loren Williams photo)
