The great one Dick Mann, speaking to riders during the Dick Mann Vintage Dirt Bike Rally back in October of 1987. Dick made his money racing the AMA Grand National Championship, but he always said his first love was dirt bikes. From the days of cow trailing up in the hills outside of Richmond, California, to the infancy of American motocross racing, Mann was there enjoying scrambles and motocross racing on his “off” weekends. Had motocross come to America 10 years earlier there is little doubt that Mann would have been a national MX champ as well. (Farren Williams photo)
