Excited today since I picked up a bunch of photos to start scanning from Mike “Stu” Stuhler’s collection. You may know Stu from Stu’s Shots R Us. He featured a lot of his old images there but hadn’t scanned all his collection and that’s what we plan on doing and featuring them here on Rider Files. Here’s a taste of Stu’s collection. This is Rich Oliver on his AMA 600 Supersport bike at Mid-Ohio in 1997. That year Rich won yet, another AMA 250 Grand Prix Championship, but he also expanded his program and did a number of Supersport races, and he did well. In the races he ran, he finished in the top-10 in all but one round and got on the box, finishing second to Pascal Picotte at Brainerd. His performances on the Supersport bike helped him earn a ride with Yamaha’s factory Superbike squad the next year. (Mike Stuhler photo)
