Brian Deegan (No. 28) powers his Suzuki out of a turn ahead of Damon Huffman (No. 17) in the first moto of the AMA 125cc National at Red Bud in 1997. If you look at the MX Vault today you won’t see Deegan in the results, but he at times he was showing some serious speed, including nailing the holeshot and leading early in the second moto before either crashing or having bike issues. Brian ended up scoring no points with a (21-37) but he was in the mix at Red Bud ’97 and for a short time a major factor in the race.
