Brian Deegan on his way to winning the AMA 125 West Supercross race at the Los Angeles Supercross II event in January of 1997. I only found out recently on Swapmoto Live that Deegan suffered fractured a vertebra in a crash the week before in LASX1 and somehow overcame the pain and restricted breathing to win in next week’s round two.
