Doug Polen holds up the winner’s check after scoring victory in the Suzuki GSXR Cup Series Finale at Road Atlanta in November of 1986. Mike Harth (right) was second and barely held off David Sadowski (left) who took third. Polen raced nearly every weekend that season and won almost $100,000 in factory contingency racing cash that season. (Henny Ray Abrams photo)
