The Penton Brothers and the New Penton 400 (Circa 1974)

A great shot of the racing Penton brothers Tom (left) and Jack (right), along with then Penton rep Don Rosene (center), who was also a racer, posing with a new Penton 400 circa 1974. I remember the first time I saw one of these at our local dirt bike trails on the westside of Indy. I lusted after this Penton, it looked so amazing, but my little Honda CL100 was all I could afford with my paper route money. That, and as 13-year-old kid I might have been in over my head with this 400cc beast. Do you have memories of this bike? Cool shot and great memories of a special time in off-road and MX racing.
