Tom Carson in the Cotton Bowl (1983)

Honda support rider Tom Carson (No. 57) setting up for a turn in the Cotton Bowl during the qualifying for the AMA Supercross race in 1983. Running just behind Carson is Steve Martin (No. 21). It hard to make out any of the other riders in the shot, but I think that could be Chuck Sun (No. 15) going over the jump behind Carson and Martin. Carson made the main that night in Dallas. Last I heard Carson was Chief of Staff for the Alpinestars Mobile Medical Unit, which is the medical team on hand for Supercross events.
