Miguel Duhamel, on the Commonwealth Honda, leads the Vance & Hines Yamahas of Jamie James (No. 7) and Larry Schwarzbach (No. 8) and the rest of the AMA 600cc Supersport pack into Daytona’s International Horseshoe during the 1991 race. It was the debut for Honda’s new CBR600 F2 and the Daytona Supersport was all important in the days of “Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday.” Duhamel gave the new bike a huge boost by holding off James and David Sadowski.
