All eyes are on factory Honda’s Goat Breker as he makes an uphill jump during the AMA 500cc Motocross National at Saddleback Park in April of 1983. Breker got DQ’d from the first moto after a protest from Yamaha, claiming Breker got outside assistance when his Honda broke a chain. Recall 1983 was a time when Yamaha was openly taking on Honda’s dominance in motorcycle sales and one of the strategies was winning on the track. So tensions were always high between the two camps. Breker came back and won the second moto, but it was Yamaha’s Broc Glover scoring the overall win. (Karel Kramer photo) #goatbreker#hondamx#saddlebackpark#motocross#amamotocross
