Wink Price heads up a pack of riders battling in the 1989 Daytona 200. Trailing Price is Keith Pinkstaff (No. 21), Andy Fenwick (No. 102) and Bill Beesch (No. 85).

Each one of these respective riders were near or at the top in their region of club racing and riders like them provided an amazing depth in the field of 1980s AMA Superbike races.

Pinkstaff ended up topping this group, turning in an excellent seventh-place finish in the 200 that day.
