Almost every road racing fan knows the story of Superbike racing legend Troy Corser, who won the Australian, AMA and World Superbike Championships.
But did you remember that Troy had a very talented younger brother named Dale?
Dale was on track to follow in his older brother’s footsteps, but got a nice paying gig with Australia’s Sea World, becoming a professional Jet skier/ Water Skier, which lead Dale to becoming a Professional Stunt Performer working in Germany, Holland, Japan, China, Oman and America.
Mitch Hansen heard the rumors of how fast Dale had been during his racing days and out of the blue offered Dale a ride in the year 2000 to race factory-backed Ducati 748s in AMA’s Pro Thunder Series. It proved to be a fruitful collaboration.
Even though he hadn’t raced in five years Dale managed to finish third in the final standings behind Jeffrey Nash and Mike Smith, all on the strength of a string of solid finishes.
Hansen’s HMC Ducati proved to be such a strong outfit that they were asked to field a Ducati Superbike squad the next season, unfortunately the promotion for the squad left Pro Thunder on the back burner and Corser found himself without a ride.
He returned to Universal Studios to perform in the Water World Stunt Show in Japan. Dale then came back to America in 2002 performing at Marine World Stunt show.
In 2005 Dale was hired as support coach with KTM North America travelling across the USA promoting the KTM brand and Red Bull through dealer support days/ schools.
By 2009 Dale’s dream of helping fellow Motorcycle enthusiasts become safer, faster and better skilled riders through his unique training school called Corser Concepts Motorcycle School.
