Rookie Kevin Erion Wins Pro Twins Modified Production Championship

Kevin Erion was a rookie pro in 1988, but that didn’t stop him from beating out veteran Pro Twins campaigner Pete Johnson for the 1988 AMA Pro Twins Modified Production Championship. Erion raced a Two Brothers Ducati F1 to that year’s title. This podium photo is from the season finale at Sears Point with second-place Aaron Rueger pouring champagne on Erion’s head, with third-place Ward Rodgers popping the cork as well.
