Matt Wait races the No. 23 Ferracci Ducati in the AMA Superbike race two at Road Atlanta in June of 1999. At this point Wait is leading Yoshimura Suzuki’s Steve Crevier (No. 14), Kawasaki’s Aaron Yates, Honda’s Eric Bostrom and Doug Chandler on another factory Kawasaki. Wait finished ninth in the race. It was one of his four top-10 Superbike finishes that season, which was abbreviated by injury after a crash at Road America sidelined him for several races. Road Atlanta was the only doubleheader AMA Superbike race that season.
