Sacramento, California racer Cory Call corners the GS Racing Ducati through a turn at Daytona International Speedway en route to winning the opening round of the 1999 AMA Progressive Insurance Pro Thunder Series. Call pulled away to win by 6.190-seconds over Shawn Conrad. Thomas Montano finished third making it a Ducati sweep of the podium that day. Call had been an AFM Formula One and 750 Superbike Champion before embarking on his pro career. He finished the ’99 Pro Thunder Series ranked fifth.
