Daytona 750 Supersport Podium (1989)

Winner Jamie James (of Yoshimura Suzuki) celebrates his victory in the 1989 Daytona 750 Supersport race. He is flanked by second-place finisher David Sadowski (Vance & Hines Suzuki) and (in sunglasses) Mike Harth (Suzuki of Corpus Christi/Ronnie McIntyre/Michelin Suzuki). James used the classic last-lap draft maneuver to slingshot past “Ski” at the final moment to win the race. James went on to win that year’s championship in a close battle with Muzzy Kawasaki’s Doug Chandler.
