Haslam and the Elf 3 in Action at the British Grand Prix (1986)

Ron Haslam (No. 5) rolls into a corner on the Elf 3 Honda NS500-powered GP machine at the rainy 1986 British 500cc Grand Prix at Silverstone. Haslam leads a pack of riders that includes Didier de Radigues (No. 8), Pier-Francesco Chili (No. 46), Roger Burnett (No. 30), Boet van Dulmen (No. 10), Simon Buckmaster (No. 31), Rob McElnea (No. 9) and others. Earlier that season Haslam etched his name in the history books by giving Elf their first world championship points in Motorcycle Grand Prix racing in the Spanish GP at Jarma.  Haslam went on to finish a very respectable ninth in the final World Championship standings on the Elf 3.
