McClure’s Industrial Harley

You look at David McClure’s Harley-Davidson Battle of the Twins bike and you can tell it’s all business. The photo of this industrial beast of a racebike was taken at Mid-Ohio in September of 1984 by the late great photographer Henny Ray Abrams. McClure was on his way to winning his fifth race of the 10-event season and the AMA Battle of the Twins Modified class championship.  I would be interested in knowing more about this bike and where it is today if anyone knows.

  1. Vic “The Racing Snake” Fasoli was his mechanic. Not sure where Vic is these days.

David was a special person. A very good rider and mechanic at the same time.

He and John Hoffman won the WERA endurance champion ship on a Guzzi 750 Sport one year
