We all know our beloved Larry Pegram is one of the “veteran” riders of AMA Superbike, but has it come to this Lar? Sponsorship from AARP? Check out the sticker right below his hand. I believe that’s the logo of the American Association of Retired Persons. Well I guess we have to face the facts, the average age of the typical AMA member is pushing 50, so I suppose AARP sponsorship is appropriate. What’s next? Instead of bikes painted up in Monster Energy or Red Bull energy drink colors are we going to see racebikes backed by Metamucil and Ensure? By the way, kudos to the person who does the graphics on Pegram’s Foremost Insurance EBR. It’s one of the sharpest looking bikes in the series. His past Foremost Superbikes were always among the best looking bike on the grid as well. I especially loved the look of the Foremost BMW Superbike he ran a few years back.
