Motorcycle riders of the 1980s will remember Cycle Guide’s famous chrome treatment they gave each year to its Bike of the Year. In 1987 Cycle Guide’s staff picked the Honda Hurricane 600 as the Bike of the Year. This was the motorcycle that really put Supersport racing on the map. In 1987 Honda Hurricanes hit road race courses of America in droves and won countless races, including every AMA 600 Supersport event that season. I love the treatment Cycle Guide gave the Hurricane to immortalize the machine and of course the rider was not half bad either, although her riding gear left her a tad bit exposed.
