Mike Smith, on the Team Suzuki Endurance GSXR1100, leads Paul Bray on The Human Race team Yamaha FZR1000 in a WERA National Endurance race at Talladega Gran Prix Raceway in March of 1990. Smith, along with teammates Britt Turkington and Kurt Hall, rolled to victory over the Human’s Bray and Andy Fenwick. Bray led the start of the race, just ahead of Smith, but the two ran wheel to wheel for nearly the entire first hour of the race, giving photographers on hand ample opportunity to catch good photos of the two of them battling like this for dozens of laps.
