Roger Hayden and Kenny Coolbeth Daytona Road Race and Flat Track Wrap Up

(NEWS RELEASE)

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (March 12, 2014) – What a week! The opening rounds of both Flat Track and Road Race are now history and to help provide a full wrap up of the week’s racing, we have two of the best with us in studio tonight.

Roger Hayden – Team Yoshimura Factory Suzuki

For Hayden, Daytona was a success, albeit bittersweet in some ways. Hayden started the weekend by taking his second-ever AMA Pro SuperBike pole position after setting the fastest qualifying lap on his Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000. Then, in both 15-lap races, Hayden got good starts and turned flawless laps to battle for the lead, only to finish an extremely close second. It’s not in a Hayden’s DNA to be happy with anything but a win and we’ll hear his take on the weekend’s opening round.

Kenny Coolbeth – Team Zanotti Racing
Coolbeth can check one more item off his bucket list with his win on the second night of the Daytona Flat Track. Winning at Daytona is what every rider wants and Kenny certainly had the speed and stamina to make it look easy. The Zanotti team had two riders on the box at Daytona, which could be a glimpse into the 2014 racing season ahead.
