(NEW KENT, VA) — Tickets for the second annual Virginia Mega Mile, an AMA Pro flat track motorcycle race scheduled for Saturday August 23^rd at Colonial Downs, will go on sale Thursday morning.

The nation’s top flat track riders will compete over the one and one quarter mile dirt oval in New Kent, largest on the annual AMA Pro circuit. Competitors reached speeds of over 130 miles per hour in 2013’s inaugural running.

Colonial Downs, which will host Round 13 of the series, is one of only three east coast venues to host an AMA Pro flat track race this year. The first two rounds kick off at Daytona Beach, Florida this week and Hagerstown, Maryland will host round six on July 5^th.

Both the Grand National Twins and Pro single classes will compete in a series of nine afternoon heat races and two championship events at the “Mega Mile”.  AMA Pro Racing is the premier professional motorcycle racing organization in North America, operating a full schedule of events and championships for a variety of motorcycle disciplines.

Advance sale general admission tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under. Reserved grandstand seats are $35 and reserved box seats overlooking the finish line are $40. Jockey Club dining room tickets are $50 and 4th floor Turf Club tickets are $85.
