In honor of Valentine’s Day I thought it would be appropriate to show a photo of the fastest couple in flat track, Nichole (No. 15) and Jared Mees (No. 1) blasting off the start in a Heat race at Colonial Downs in Kent, Va., in August of 2013. Jared nipped Nichole at the checkered flag by just 0.037 seconds to win the Heat. Nichole is holding her ninth annual Shindig at Scotty Parker’s PD’s Pub in Flint, Michigan, this Saturday (tomorrow) Feb. 15, starting at 6:00 pm.
