Brit Paul Iddon (No. 24 Team Krauser Yamaha) leads Wolfgang Von Muralt (No. 35 Honda Suisse) and Tom Kipp (No. 33 Wiseco Yamaha) in the Canadian round of the World Superbike Series in June of 1989. Iddon was a two-time road racing champ in support classes of the British Championships and he even raced a Skoal Bandit Suzuki a few times in GPs. Von Muralt had been a Grand Prix rider before racing World Superbike. He scored a couple of top-10 finishes in 500cc Grand Prix in the mid-1980s.Kipp went on to become a multi-time AMA Supersport Champion. Iddon topped this group, finishing 12th in race one.
