Industry members step up to support Motorcycle Leadership Forum

(NEWS RELEASE)

Lakeland, FL., August 26, 2013 – Three companies with a business interest in the antique motorcycle community have signed on as sponsors of the Fourth Annual Motorcycle Leadership Forum that will be hosted by the Antique Motorcycle Foundation on October 10 in Leeds, Alabama.

The Forum was created four years ago by officers of the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club, then later brought under the auspices of its current hosting organization, the Antique Motorcycle Foundation. Its first three meetings were held in conjunction with Vintage Motorcycle Days in Mansfield, Ohio, but this year has been moved to the Barber Vintage Festival, an event that has rapidly grown in size and popularity.

Companies that are supporting the effort as sponsors include Browns Plating Service, Inc., Mid-America Auctions, and The National Packard Museum. Browns Plating Service, located in Paducah, Kentucky is one of the nation’s leading providers of specialty chrome plating for antique, modern, and custom motorcycles. MidAmerica Auctions, based in St. Paul, Minnesota, is a leading auctioneer for both motorcycles and automobiles. The National Packard Museum, located in Warren, Ohio, has displayed antique and classic motorcycles annually for more than a decade.

The Forum has proven a popular gathering for leaders of non-profit motorcycle organizations, museum administrators, and the antique motorcycle press who want to share ideas and network with others to discover and develop best practices in the management of volunteer-run organizations.

Formal presentations this year will include AMF Director Jon Radermacher on using modern technology to bring club marketing and management into the 21st century, National Packard Museum Director Emeritus Bruce Williams and American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association Director Fred Guidi on how clubs can establish and maintain a productive relationship with museums, and Penton Owners Group President Paul Danik and Hodaka Owners Club Director Paul Stannard on why we form clubs.

Industry sponsorships, which cost only $50.00, are still available. For more information, or to receive a sponsorship brochure, contact Tracey Powell at 614-891-1011 or traceypowell@mindspring.com.
