Doug Toland eases the Team Hammer Suzuki through turn one in the rain at Blackhawk Farms Raceway during a WERA National Endurance race in august of 1985. Riders reported that Blackhawk in those days in the rain was akin to racing on an ice rink. You can tell from damage on the windscreen that the Team Hammer found that out the hard way. Toland went on to become FIM World Endurance Champion in 1993.

Summit Point used to be the same way in the rain back then. You would gas it on a straightaway and it would just spin up like crazy
