With the AMA Pro Road Racing Series coming to Mid-Ohio this coming weekend I thought I’d feature a photo from Mid-Ohio from a few seasons ago. This shot is the start of the Sunday Daytona SportBike race in 2011. It shows Jason DiSalvo (No. 40, on the Team Latus Motors Racing Ducati 848, getting the jump on the rest of the field which included Danny Eslick (No. 69), Jake Holden (No. 59), Cory West (No. 57), Josh Herrin (No. 8), Cameron Beaubier (No. 116), Kris Turner (No. 38) and Tommy Aquino (No. 6). Eslick went on to edge Aquino and Beaubier to take the win. Mid-Ohio is in my opinion one of the best, if not the best track on the circuit from a pure viewing perspective. Nowhere will you get closer to riders and machines than Mid-O.
