One of the most underrated riders of the 1980s was Ron Ewerth, better known as “Rocket Ron”. Ewerth won a lot of club races in his day against some of the top riders in AMA racing. As this photo shows Ewerth always looked sharp as well, with beautifully-prepped machines and the latest racing gear. Here Ewerth lines up for a race at his home track of Road Atlanta.
