MCRA is kicking off this season with our first track day at Putnam Park, with the rest of our events at Gateway Motorsports Park. At Putnam, we will hold Tech and Registration Friday night from 5pm-8pm at the Super 8 in Cloverdale, IN. At Gateway it’s not your typical Track Day weekend. We open the gates on Friday afternoon at 1pm (tech and registration from 5pm-8pm) and they stay open all weekend. You can tech and register Friday night to avoid the Saturday morning rush. Everyone is welcome to join our Saturday night Pot Luck Dinner and “bench race” session!! Also at Gateway, we will be offering seminars on tech, track walks and other topics on Friday evenings.

Track Day Riders and Racers can expect a full range of trackside services. We have tire sales and suspension tuners who can help you set up your bike. Choose from a variety of brands of tires and suspension components. There will also be a trackside photographer to capture your great moments on the track.

Each Track Day rider in Novice, Intermediate and Expert will ride 6 twenty minute sessions per day and for Test the Track, 2 fifteen minute sessions starting at 9am. The GT race is held before lunch then GTL, Sportsman and the 250 class are held at the end of the day.

We have a great Novice track day program where our experienced racers hold classroom sessions immediately after the Novice track sessions to discuss everything from tire pressures to correct body positioning. Safety is paramount with 8 corner stations monitored by 18 corner marshals and advanced life support teams present at every event. We also invite any street riding groups to tour gateway and perhaps join in the Test The Track class to give them a taste of something new.

SPORTSMAN CLASS – MCRA created the Sportsman Class as “beginner” class structure
GT LIGHTS – CCS GT LIGHTS class structure
GT – combined CCS GTO and GTU class structure
250 CC CLASS – The “NEW” class for this year!
Race #1 – Expert GT & Amateur GT
Race #2 – Amateur & Expert GT Lights and Sportsman Class (2nd wave)
Race #3 – 250 CC

We had a successful 2012 season with over 50 riders, in our racer clinics and raised over $6800 for the Road Racing World action fund!
