Brian Kohl became one of the leading Harley-Davidson 883 road racers of the mid-1990s, but he started his career as a WERA Novice burning up the tracks of the Midwest. Here Kohl races his Suzuki GSXR750 at Grattan (Mich.) Raceway in July of 1991. He was the rider to beat in the bigger displacement novice classes. On this day he dominated both the A Superbike and B Superbike Novice races.
