Andy Fenwick races a Human Race Team Yamaha ahead of Marty Miller and teammate Steve Rodden. I clearly remember shooting these photos from the Grattan round of the WERA Formula USA Series in July of 1990. It began to rain during the final and it came down in buckets. It was probably the hardest rain I ever saw a race run in. At the time I was stuck on the outside of the track. Unable to cross for protection in the infield I simply stood out there got soaked and continued to photograph the race. That night I spend a lot of time blow drying my camera gear. That was the one advantage of shooting film; it seemed the cameras were less susceptible to shutting down in heavy rain.
