When you think of Jay Springsteen in Indianapolis, the Indy Mile immediately comes to mind, but WERA racers and fans were thrilled when the racing legend showed up to race a WERA regional sprint race at Indianapolis Raceway Park in April of 1990. Springer raced a Yoshimura-built Suzuki GSXR750 and had some strong finishes in a field full of talented road racers. He finished fifth in both the Formula USA (regional) and B Superbike races. In this photo Springsteen leads Tommy Sloan and Kevin Rentzell in what is probably the B Superbike race.
