Jeff James (waving flag) and Dave Essex conduct a WERA Riders’ School at Indianapolis Raceway Park in April of 1987. These schools, held during race weekends, helped new racers gradually adapt to track and racing conditions under the watchful eye of experienced racers and were a great improvement from the days of riders simply signed up and raced.
