This photo shows a unique angle of a unique starting grid. This is Moroso Motorsports Park during a WERA Pro Formula USA weekend in the early 1990s. It shows the starting area in laid out on the twin lanes of a drag strip. One of the things I remember about shooting there was corner workers telling me to watch out for alligators as I shot on the back sections of the track. This photo was taken by Greg Sickmeier. That was weird, only place we’ve done a road race grid like an MX start where you don’t cross the grid again. Even more weird was the finish being on an entirely different part of the track.
