Doug McIntosh races the Mid-South Suzuki GSXR1100 in the WERA National Endurance race at Willow Springs Raceway in April of 1990. McIntosh teamed with last-minute replacement rider Tripp Nobles to score an excellent runner-up finish to Team Suzuki Endurance in the event. The second overall had to be one of the best finishes, if not the best ever for Mid-South Racing, a team based out of Tennessee.

Doug messaged me and said: That was a fun race. There were many faster teams there but we ran air filters and finished running strong. The dust killed most of the fast locals after about three hours. Trip was a great rider from GA. He went on to ride world superbike series and had a podium finish in the rain.
