Kork at Loudon

You have to almost laugh at riders who complain about bumpy road race courses today. Check out the lunar-like surface at Loudon that Kork Ballington had to negotiate on a Honda GP bike! Wasn’t it Kenny Roberts who once said when asked about a bumpy track, “That’s why they make suspension.”

  1. Oh man, once again, great shot Larry!

Always LOVED/HATED Loudon (always left after work on Friday and drove in the rain to get there Saturday am, always rained on the way there…) loved the tight track, hated the ride up and just OK surface. Harsh winters in NH I guess.

Cool place though, like many tracks, so sad it’s gone.

Maybe you can empty the old pic files Larry and do a massive old Loudon picture thread ?

That would be beyond cool !
