Team Racerback’s Kenny Payton and Steele Kennedy rode their Kawasaki Ninja 750R to third place in the Heavyweight Superbike class (fifth overall) at the EBC/WERA National Endurance Series round at Blackhawk Farms on May 9, 1987. Racerback was one of the leading WERA endurance squads of that era. They went on to finish third in the final Heavyweight Superbike standings behind Team Suzuki endurance and Team Gamma. The team was based in Arkansas and their name was a play on Razorback.
