Sammy Halbert wanted to see what all the fuss about the ultra-powerful Kawasaki flat track machines and was given the chance to turn some practice laps on the Werner-Springsteen Kawasaki at the Indy Mile a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, according to Halbert, the gearing was off on the bike, so he didn’t get to experience what it could really do. Halbert’s ride on the Kawi was in one of the early sessions and not many photographers caught the moment. Fortunately for us Ken Kerr was Johnny on the spot and captured this excellent photo of Halbert on the Kawasaki. He looks good on the bike and even happens to have matching leathers.
