One of motorcycle racing’s classics, the Labor Day weekend Springfield Mile is coming up this weekend (as long as Hurricane Isaac behaves). Rich with tradition, this race determined the AMA’s National Champion from 1949 to 1953. This is a photo from practice at last year’s race.
