Doug Toland guides the Team Hammer Suzuki into the first turn in the lead at the start of a WERA National Endurance race at Gateway International Raceway in June of 1986. Team Hammer went on to win the race. Following Toland into the first turn are Ben Martinez (No. 23) on the M&M Racing Yamaha FZ750, Larry Jeurink (No. 915) on the High Tech Racing Yamaha FZ750 and Team Pro-Motor (No. 144), also on a FZ750. Toland later went on to become an FIM Endurance racing World Champion.
