Schoenewald in Road America Supersport (2005)

For 20 years (1988 to 2008) AMA Supersport was open to all and rivaled and sometimes exceeded AMA Superbike in terms of depth of riding talent. Think about this – the very talented riders in this photo were mid-pack! During the peak of the series in the mid-to-late 1990s there were a couple of dozen factory and factory-supported riders in the series. In 2009 the class was restructured to feature just young up-and-coming riders and now has West and East region champions.
