Jim Slaughter (No. 30K) leads Mark Hartley (No. 45) and Don Estep (No. 64) in practice for the 1986 Indy Mile. This year’s Indy Mile, on August 18th, marks the return of the event running concurrently with the Indiana State Fair. Although the Indy Mile crowd has been excellent the last few seasons, running the same weekend as Indy’s MotoGP, having thousands of people on hand for the State Fair can only help to make the race even more popular.
