Dave Karten brakes on his CC Products BMW entering turn five at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, in June of 1987. Karten, from Millbrook, N.Y., was a semi-regular in the Pro Twins (Battle of the Twins) class from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s. In ’87 he scored a couple of top 10 finishes in the Pro Twins Modified class, including here at Road America.  Just a week earlier he earned a podium finish (second) at Loudon.
