Cal Rayborn III races his Nordica Team Roberts Yamaha TZ250 ahead of Honda mounted Andy Leisner and Rayborn’s teammate John Kocinski at the Road Atlanta AMA 250 Grand Prix race in May of 1987. Rayborn III was the son of legendary AMA racer Cal Rayborn and the younger was quite a talented road racer as well. Nordica was a maker of skiing equipment that sponsored the team owned by Kenny Roberts. Kocinski went on to win that year’s AMA 250GP title.
