Beesch Leads at the Beach

Bill Beesch (No. 14) leads James Henderson (No. 250) and Eddie Laycock (No. 633) at the 25th annual Daytona International Lightweight (250GP) race in March of 1987. Laycock, an Irish road circuit specialist, proved an outstanding rider on the closed course of Daytona International Speedway. He battled in the lead group with Kork Ballington, John Kocinski and Rich Oliver, but unfortunately Laycock ran out of gas on the final lap and rolled home to a fourth-place finish.
