Bruce Tebo races the Team Del Amo Suzuki GSXR1100 in front of a big pack of other teams during the 24 Hours of Willow, part of the WERA National Endurance Series in April of 1991. Just behind Tebo is Arclight Racing’s Peter Hively (No. 92). Team Suzuki Endurance won the race over a very strong field in that year’s race, running 2215 miles in 24 hours. Tebo, along with Del Amo teammates Curtis Adams, Steve Biganski, Peter Carroll, Robert Miller and Dean Mizdal, finished a very solid fifth overall, second in the Heavyweight Superbike class.

Hi Larry,
I have to take the blame for Team Del Amo finishing 5th. I think we were running 2nd and I left Curtis out too long on a very worn rear tire. We had a lowside and had to get the bike back out there to finish the last few laps. Great crew helped make the 24 Hour race possible.

That was a heck of a talented team you assembled there.

Like the 24 hours of Nelson wasn’t enough…
This is proof how crazy motorcycle racing in the 80/90’s was.
Who in their right mind would run two of these insane races?
